JAMMU, July 25: J&K Private Schools Association has suggested partial re-opening of schools in phased manner by adopting COVID appropriate behaviour to facilitate the students to clear their doubts in any subject.
The suggestion was made by the Association after visiting students of remote area of district Udhampur. Members of Central Executive Body of PSA, including President Kamal Gupta, General Secretary Ajay Gupta, Ajay Singh, Jatinder Heera, Laddi Kumar along with Satish Sharma (Ex State President United Teachers Federation), Dr Sushil Sharma (Ex Professor of Jammu University) held series of meetings with the students, parents and prominent villagers of Jangal Gali areas.
People in general and students in particular had shown their dismay in present scenario. They briefed the members that students are unable to continue their education in online mode due to the non availability of internet facility. The irreparable loss of the studies since 2019 to till date cannot be fulfilled because students are deprived of both online and offline education.
”Although we are the worse suffers due to non availability of good road connectivity and hospital, but the loss of our children regarding their studies has broken our heart. Our problems are ignored as none of the official has spotted our sufferings since the creation of Union Territory. We are living at the mercy of God,” the villagers added.
Ajay Gupta, General Secretary of JKPSA, appealed to the administration for the immediate installation of towers for the larger interest of the students who are the worse sufferer due to non availability of internet connectivity since 2019. He also demanded partial reopening of the schools in phased manner by adopting COVID appropriate behaviour to facilitate the students to clear their doubts in any subject till towers are installed.
Kamal Gupta demanded reopening of schools as early as possible for all classes on the pattern which was adopted by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in last year as several States after the second wave of COVID-19 have now announced the reopening educational institutions in India.
