PSA slapped on hardcore criminal

JAMMU, Jan 12: A hardcore criminal was arrested and sent to jail after District Magistrate slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) against him.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura police station arrested a hardcore criminal on November 23, 2015.
The accused was identified as Manoj Kumar alias Moja, son of late Ashok Kumar, a resident of Ward Number 4, RS Pura.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 43/15 under Section 307 RPC with RS Pura police station and was evading his arrest since May 2015.
During investigation, it came to fore that the accused was wanted in 10 criminal cases including murder, attempt to murder, assault, robbery, trespassing, possession of sharp edged weapons and many others registered with different police stations including RS Pura, Arnia, etc.
On the basis of the charges and a case diary prepared and submitted by RS Pura police, District Magistrate Simrandeep Singh slapped PSA against him, which was duly recommended by SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
The accused has been sent to Kot Bhalwal jail.
The accused was arrested by RS Pura headed by SHO Inspector Bhushan Manhas under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
