SAMBA, July 26: District Magistrate slapped stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) on a notorious criminal.
As per police sources, a special team of Samba and Vijaypur police station arrested a notorious criminal, who has been identified as Mohammad Aslam, son of Mureed Baksh of Chack Manga Gujran, district Samba.
He was involved in cases registered under FIR Number 288/11, FIR Number 83/17 and FIR Number 89/17 with police station Samba, FIR Number 68/17 and FIR Number 76/17 with police station Rajbagh, District Kathua and FIR Number 13/17 with police station Narjot Singh, district Pathankot, Punjab.
The modus operandi of the said accused person was to sell the robbed property to the scrap dealers besides selling the stolen cattle to the bovine smugglers.
A dossier was prepared and sent to District Magistrate Samba, who slapped PSA on this notorious criminal. He has been lodged under at Sub Jail Hiranagar, Kathua.
