JAMMU, June 13: District Magistrate (DM) Jammu has slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on a hardcore criminal, here.
As per official spokesman, DM Jammu has slapped PSA on hardcore criminal identified as Bunny Sharma, son of late Lok Raj, a resident of Ward Number 4, RS Pura.
He was involved in 6 criminal cases out of which 3 cases stands registered with RS Pura Police Station, 1 case at Miran Sahib Police Station and 2 cases at Police Station Akhnoor.
The accused was recently arrested by Akhnoor Police in Rs 8 lakh snatching case registered under FIR Number 78/18 under Section 341, 323 and 382 RPC and 3/25 Arms Act.
As the accused was involved in number of attempt to murder cases, kidnapping, snatching and illegal possession of arms, his presence in society was quite dangerous.
Keeping into consideration the above facts, the dossier was prepared and submitted to DM Jammu through proper channel.
On this, District Magistrate Jammu granted orders regarding detention of said criminal under PSA.
The PSA warrant was executed after making hectic/sincere efforts and the criminal has been lodged at Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The warrant was executed by police party headed by SI Ved Parkash under the supervision of SHO RA Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
