JAMMU, Mar 24: Private Schools Association convened a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Kamal Gupta.
The members present in the meeting briefed the executive members of central body regarding forthcoming complication in authentication/countersignature of results of schools which are affiliated to the JKBOSE as all of them are still deprived of recognition on the basis of affiliation by the educational authorities of the State. They also highlighted the problem of private schools of district Kathua in depositing Red Cross and games fund as the administration of District Kathua is putting whimsical demand of 100 per cent contribution from the private schools functioning in the district.
To comfort the sufferer members, General Secretary of the association Ajay Gupta said that association has approached to Education Department time and again for the issuance of recognition letter to all schools whose affiliation is extended by the JKBOSE since 2018. “Education Department has granted recognition to only 101 private schools of Kashmir division on the basis of affiliation on February 5, 2019 but still more than 250 schools are in the line and stand deprived”, they added.
