SRINAGAR, June 18: People’s Republican Party (PRP) in its meeting here today has cautioned the Government against the designs of nefarious elements hell bent in disturbing the peace in the State.
The meeting, which was chaired by chairman of the Party Advocate G M Tramboo has urged the Government to ensure that such elements will not take their ugly head to push the State backward. It said for the overall development of all three regions the peace is imperative and the Government should take appropriate action in this regard. The meeting said the vested elements are hell bent to disturb the peace in the State at the time when the holy Ramzan is just to begin, two month long Amarnath yatra is about to start and tourist season has also begun.
It while referring to recent killings said no body should be allowed to play with lives of innocent people as the increasing killings in Valley and recent attacks on mobile towers has created a panic among the people.
Addressing the meeting Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani, chief spokesperson of the Party said that people in the State had pinned high hopes in new Government and it should fulfill its promises made with the people of all three regions.
The meeting asked the Government to keep its promise of equivitable development of all three regions of the State and discourage such elements who are trying to create a wedge between the two regions.
It, while supporting the Jammu people for establishment of AIIMS said that AIIMS be established in both regions of the State and IIT as well as IIM be also established in Kashmir Valley along with Jammu keeping in view the different topography and geography of the State.
Another Party leader Mr Hamdard said the Government should solve the problems of the flood hit people, farmers, traders and unemployed youth besides clearing its stand on new employment policy as people have many apprehensions about the same.
