PRP holds elections, cautions against disruptive forces

SRINAGAR, Oct 18: Peoples Republican Party (PRP) held elections during its one day delegate conference here today.
The conference was presided over by outgoing president G M Tramboo and the inaugural address was given by Mir Ghulam Rasool, the chief spokesperson of the Party who dwelt at the international, national politics as well as State politics.
During the conference Mir Ghulam Rasool was elected as the new president of the Party while Advocate G M Tramboo was elected as its patron. Ghulam Mohammed War of Sopore was elected as senior vice president, Ghulam Mohammed Hamdard ex ZEO as general secretary, Bashir Ahmed Malik as spokesperson, Master Ghulam Mohammed Rather of Charar-e-Sharief as secretary and Sardar Bikram Singh as chief organizer.
The meeting also elected Pran Nath Raina as vice president incharge Jammu wing of the Party.
In his address Mir while cautioning the people of communal forces who are raising their ugly head said the peace is imperative for the progress of nation as well as State. He cautioned those forces who are inimical to peace and trying to create disturbances on one pretext or other.
Mir appealed all sections of society including Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs to be united and struggle against the communal and disruptive forces and work for development of the State.
