SRINAGAR, Feb 6: A delegation of PRP led by its president Mir Ghulam Rasool today called on Director Health Services Kashmir and Director CAPD Kashmir and highlighted the problems of people in Ganderbal district and other parts of the Valley before them.
The delegation demanded that immediate steps be taken to redress the problems of the people of the Valley as well as Ladakh region.
The delegation while expressing the confidence over the steps taken by the two officers in providing prompt services to the people and responding to their problems well in time said making the Butwani Ganderbal Health Centre functional round the clock will cater to the problems of various villages who in the absence of a health centre during the emergencies had to visit Ganderbal or Srinagar for treatment.
It however appealed Director Health Services that more Health Centers be made functional in Ganderbal tehsil round the clock as only three centers in the entire tehsil are working for 24 hours at present.
The delegation said that Ganderbal being a vast tehsil should at least have five to six health centers functioning round the clock.
The delegation during its meeting with Director CAPD demanded opening of gas agencies in Ganderbal tehsil where the people are suffering due to lack of such facilities.
It demanded that the unemployed youth be provided gas agencies and the Director CAPD should recommend such cases to the concerned authorities as this way some unemployed youth could earn their own livelihood and also the people can get the delivery of gas at their door steps.
