KATHUA, July 13: Providing road connectivity to rural and far flung areas of the State is the priority of the Government, BJP State general secretary and MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia said while continuing the spree of development in Kathua constituency.
Inaugurating blacktopping work at Nagri Bus Stand in Kathua, he said road connectivity is imperative for development of all other sectors including tourism and Government is committed for providing roads to rural and far flung areas of the State. The Government is committed to provide basic facilities like road connectivity, electricity, schools and health care to the people of the State, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that all developmental works of the constituency will be completed in a stipulated time frame so that all the basic requirements of the public could be met in a shorter span of time. He said that he is committed to provide a better living standard to the people and in the coming days it will be done by creating a new infrastructure in various areas of the constituency so that Kathua constituency could be developed as a Model Constituency in future.
BJP MLA also asked the officers present to reach the people and mitigate their hardships on priority basis, without any delay. He said that he is well conversant with the problems of other areas of the constituency as well and efforts are being made to fulfill each and everybody’s genuine demands.
Jasrotia assured the locals that the work on the main roads is going to start within a few days and tenders have already been floated, adding that this time commission free work will be done so that quality roads can be made which in turn will reduce burden on State treasury and moreover the life of the roads will also increase.
