JAMMU, May 23: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Kundan Kashmiri.
While speaking, Kundan Kashmiri urged J&K Government to ensure fool-proof security cover as well as other precautionary measures for the devotees coming from different parts of the State and country to attend the Mela Kher Bhawani, Tulmulla and other religious places including Tiker, Manzgam, Raithan, Baedpura and other places in Kashmir Valley on June 2.
He also requested District Administration Ganderbal to ensure uninterrupted power supply, water, medical facilities and other essential items for the devotees during the yatra period.
Kundan Kashmiri also urged Government and other concerned authorities to keep available adequate number of blankets and alternatives to accommodate the devotees in case of inclement weather.
The participants of the meeting appealed to maintain the sensitivity of the shrines at all costs.
