REASI, Nov 11: Former Legislature and Congress Party candidate from Kalakote constituency Ashok Sharma has demanded providing cash relief, ration and housing facilities for the migrants of Jammu division at par with Kashmiri migrants.
Addressing migrants at Talwara near Reasi today, the Congress leader observed that since both Kashmiri and migrants from various militancy affected areas of Jammu division had to leave their homes and hearths in similar circumstances and had to face same hardships, there cannot be different yardsticks for providing relief and taking measures for their rehabilitation.
He assured them that the matter regarding redressal of their hardships shall be taken up at the highest level.
Referring to the problems of unemployment confronted by the youth of the State, Sharma pleaded for filling up of all the vacancies available in various departments and providing unemployment allowances to the un-employed youth as per their qualification till they get jobs.
He also pleaded for immediate regularization of ReTs, ReZs, SPOs, ad-hoc, contractual, daily rated workers and community participation workers.
