Provide immediate relief to farmers: Panthers Party

SAMBA, Nov 19: Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP) today demanded compensation for the farmers whose paddy crops were damaged due to unseasonal rains in district Samba.
The demand was made by former Minister and National Panther Party, senior leader, Yash Pal Kundal at a press conference here, today. A large number of farmers and party workers were present during the press conference.
The former Minister appealed the Lt. Governor UT to immediately provide compensation to the farmers because the paddy crops have been damaged due to the unseasonal rains. He said that the farmers are totally dependent on their crops which perished after the entire crop soaked in the rain water in their fields.
Kundal said that, the paddy crops of the farmers were totally spoiled due to the unseasonal rains. He appealed the LG of Jammu and Kashmir to issue orders, to officers of the district administration to visit the fields and make assessment for their damaged crops and provide proper compensation to the farmers. He warned if the Government did not take any step regarding the compensation then the Panther Party will be forced to come on road along with farmers and stage strong protest demonstration against the Government.
