Protestors involved in road blockade to face serious action: DM Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, May 18: District Magistrate (DM), Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana has said that strict action will be taken against the protestors indulging in blockade and disruption of traffic on the roads.
As per an order issued by the DM, the protestors will face action under Section 133 (read with Section 143 of Code of Criminal Procedure,1973).
According to a spokesperson of district administration, “the initiative has been taken to contain the growing incidents of protests and road blockades by a section of PRI members and villagers thus creating public nuisance.”
The DM has asked Senior Superintendent of Police  to ensure strict action against the erring persons/ protestors involved in creating nuisance/ criminal trespass through illegal road blockades/ obstruction in traffic movement as warranted under Section 133 read with Section 143 of Code of Criminal Procedure,1973.”
