Protest at RS Pura against dilapidated condition of roads

JAMMU, Apr 20: A protest demonstration was held today at Kullian in RS Pura, under the leadership of State vice-president, Panthers Trade Union (PTU), Sham Gorka, during which the protesters also blocked the main RS Pura-Jammu road against dilapidated condition of roads in RS Pura sector.
The PTU leader said that Kullian to Laswara road in RS Pura which covers 15 villages and 4 Panchayats has been in a dilapidated condition for last 20 years.
“This stretch of road connects RS Pura to Bishnah but the vehicular traffic as well as general commuters are facing grave inconvenience due to pot holes of five to six meter diameter, which have been posing life threat to the public at large”, he said, adding the road needs immediate blacktopping while its sides also needs to be enforced with RBM.
Among others who participated in the protest demonstration included Sukhjinder Singh Ginny, Ch Som Dutt, Jatinder Verma, Vijay Bhagat, Pritpal Singh, Onkar Singh, Babu Singh and Puran Chand.
