POONCH, Nov 9: The people from Ajot village today held protest demonstration on Poonch -Rawalakote road and disrupted movement of traffic for about two hours.
They were shouting slogans against PHE authorities for severe crisis of water in the area for the last one month. They alleged that local water pumping station went out of order and it was not repaired till today. Despite repeated requests to the concerned staff, the water supply was not restored. They burnt tyres/ dry bushes on the road and also raised barricades. Later, SHO Poonch and an AEE concerned arrived there and they pacified the people. Then the people lifted dharna.
