JAMMU, May 5: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (AG) under the leadership of Ashok Gupta took out a protest march in Jammu city against the shortage of electricity and water.
While addressing the protesting workers, Gupta said that every year the people of Jammu are made to suffer during summer on account of power cuts and non-supply of drinking water. He regretted that the Government was least concerned for the people and its Ministers enjoying their summer in Kashmir and do not have any feeling for the helpless people of Jammu.
Gupta further stated that it is the same coalition Government which had given a categorical assurance that the areas which get electronic meters installed will not have to suffer any power cut. “The Government has failed to keep its promise and the situation has gone from bad to worst”, he said, adding that long curtailment of power has made the life of people miserable.
Stating that the next 3 months are going to be very hot and full of scorching heat, Gupta said that an immediate resolve of the problem should be taken out.
