UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: A demonstration was organized by social & RTI activist Advocate Sanjeet Kumar against District Administration for not initiating measures to reopen the Udhampur to Ghordi and Barmeen to Ghordi road, which is lying blocked for the last one month following heavy rains and landslide.
The protest was held at village Barmeen and the demonstrators raised slogans against Administration. They also torched an effigy of the Government.
Advocate Sanjeet warned the authorities concerned that if within two days road from Barmeen to Ghordi is not reopened, people of the area shall bound to initiate agitation.
Sarpanch Om Parkash, Sarpanch Ram Pal, Sarpanch Govind Ram, Sarpanch Jai Kumar, Roshan Singh, Ravi Kumar and Prem Nath also addressed the protesters.
