Protest held against civilian killing in Kashmir

JAMMU, Apr 14: Protests broke out in Jammu today as people from all sections of the society gave vent to anguish over rising attacks on civilians, especially the minority Hindus in Kashmir a day after one Satish Singh Rajput was shot dead by terrorists.
Aggressive protesters led by Surinder Singh Gilli (ex-president Yuva Rajput Sabha and core committee member) blocked the main Bantalab Road and burnt the tyres and effigy of Pakistan. They also raised slogans against Pakistan.
“Why was he killed, just because he raised the Indian flag? Minorities are not safe in Kashmir even now,” said Surinder Singh Gilli. He said that the targeted killing of civilians, particularly minorities, in Kashmir is aimed at creating an atmosphere of fear and damaging age-old communal harmony.
Gilli demanded the Union Government to unmask the people who are targeting humanity, brotherhood and local ethos. Sarpanch Dharminder Singh and Partap Singh Jamwal appealed the Government to give befitting reply to the perpetrators of the heinous terror attacks on innocent people.
Others who participated in the protest were Komal Singh, Sameer Khajuria, Udhey Manhas, Sunil Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Mohan Singh, Vikram Singh, Bupinder Singh, Vishal Khajuria, Dushant, Ajeet Goswami, Brita Ram, Udhay Shubam Jamwal, Aryan Veer Singh, Sudarshan Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Parveen Singh and Harvans.
