Protest dharna of BFDC enters 3rd day

JAMMU, Mar 6: The protest dharna of Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) in support of their demands entered third day today.
Speaking on the occasion, president, BFDC, Rajeev Charak reiterated the demands which included formation of Shrine Board of Shri Mata Maha Kali Temple at Bahu Fort or taking it under the control of Shrine Board of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, widening of the Parking Site and construction of ‘Sarai’ at Shri Mata Maha Kali Temple at Bahu Fort, besides construction of Four-Lane Road from Police Station, Bagh-e-Bahu via Bahu Fort to Bye-Pass and eviction of forest land at Raika and Maha Maya City Forest from the land mafia.
Alleging that the priests of Annapurna Temple and Gaana Temple are indulging in making money by commercializing the temple, he appealed the Government and Income Tax Department to assess the offerings of the temple and property of the priests.
Ishant Gupta, spokesman, BFDC, said that they are running a signature campaign in support of their demands and in this context have sought support from the people.
