Protest continues over Geelani’s statement on Amarnath Yatra

JAMMU, May 3: Protest continues over the statement of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who threatened to disrupt Shri Amarnath Yatra if exceeded by one month.
The activists of Hindustan Shiv Sena led by its president Dimpy Kohli assembled at Indira Chowk and held protest. The protestors asked the Union Government to book Geelani under PSA like Masrat Alam.
Addressing the gathering, Dimpy Kohli said Geelani must be put behind the bars and lodged in Tihar prison in New Delhi. Kohli also appealed to NDA Government and PDP-BJP coalition Government in J&K to ensure violence free Amarnath Yatra this year.
Among others present were Vikrant Kapoor, Rajan Gupta, Vinay Gupta, Dinesh Mahajan, Rohit Singh Bhau, etc.
Kranti Dal, district Rajouri unit held protest and burnt the effigy of Syed Ali Shah Geelani at Balli Bhawam, Kalakote. The protest was held on the directions of State president Pritam Sharma. The protest was led by district president Rajouri Ravi Sharma and Vir Kumar along with Kranti Dal workers. The protestors demanded arrest of Geelani.
