MENDHAR, Aug 20: A large number of people including Beopar Mandal members Mendhar today held protest demonstration against BSNL authorities for the worst ever services in the area.
A large number of people led by Naib Sarpanch Vinod Sawhney and local Beopar Mandal president came put on the road and moved towards main BSNL exchange after taking out protest march in the town during the day. They were raising slogans against Chief General Manager BSNL and concerned head for Rajouri-Poonch. They alleged that due to total collapse of internet services and poor Mobile phone operations, the consumers are facing lot of hardships. Even the public is suffering due to non-operation of normal banking services due to break down in internet.
The people warned the BSNL authorities to either improve services or pack up from the area as the public was in no mood to tolerate the company any more. They also alleged that top officers sitting in Jammu/ Srinagar BSNL offices do come out of their AC rooms to monitor field functioning and the public has been left to suffer. They said `either perform or perish’ and the people will no longer continue to become victim of defunct BSNL services. The company has developed a habit of acting as `deaf and dumb body’ as despite many protests in Poonch- Rajouri no body bothers at the top.
