NOWSHERA, Apr 15: The people from Chityari (Chingus) area held protest and blocked busy Jammu-Poonch highway for about an hour over mysterious death of a youth.
Reports said that one Ram Krishan, son of Bhola Ram, resident of Chityari had gone to see his brother working in PDD at Nowshera. Last evening his dead body was found near his brother’s rented accommodation. It was sent to SDH Nowshera for postmortem and today it was handed over to the family for last rights by police.
When the body reached native village Chityari, the family members and relatives accompanied by locals blocked Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway alleging it as murder. They demanded fair investigation into the case. SHO concerned reached the spot and tried to pacify the protesting relatives. SSP Rajouri spoke to them on phone and assured fair investigation. Then people lifted dharna and allowed movement of traffic.
