Srinagar, Feb 6: Police in Kulgam today attached the property of a notorious drug peddler under the NDPS Act.
The attached property, a 2-storied residential house, belongs to the peddler Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohd Ismail Bhat, resident of Sopat Devsar, police stated.
Authorities revealed that the drug peddler is involved in several NDPS cases, including Case FIR No. 63/2019 under sections 8/15, 20 of the NDPS Act, Case FIR No. 11/2021 under sections 8/20, 29 of the NDPS Act, and Case FIR No. 31/2021 under sections 8/20, 22 of the NDPS Act of Police Station Devsar.
“The property was identified as illegally acquired during the course of investigation /enquiry,” conducted police added.
According to authorities, the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.
The notorious drug peddler is currently under detention at Kot-Bhalwal Jail Jammu under PIT-NDPS Act, police said.
