KATRA, May 25: Under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan”, Reasi Police has intensified its crackdown on the drug peddlers and narcotics networks by attaching immovable properties belonging to notorious drug accused, Jamad Ali alisas Jamat hailing from Kheri Paroh, in Tehsil Katra.
Official said during the action, immovable properties including two residential houses worth approximately Rs 45 lakhs were attached by a team led by SDPO & SHO Katra. The properties are believed to have been acquired through proceeds generated from illegal narcotics trade.
The accused is involved in the NDPS cases registered at Police Station Katra vide FIR No. 22/2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act; FIR No. 217/2022 U/S 8/15/25 NDPS Act; FIR No. 145/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act and FIR No. 322/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act.
Due to repeated NDPS offences, the accused was booked under PITNDPS Act & is presently lodged in Kot Bhalwal, Jail.
