JAMMU, Dec 1: A meeting of Janta Dal (Secular), J&K Unit, was held today under the chairmanship of State President, Dhan Raj Bargotra, at Party Headquarters, here.
Taking account of the inadequate facilities provided to Jhiri pilgrims, the meeting asked the State Government to make proper arrangements for the pilgrims, who are facing various difficulties in the absence of proper accommodation, road transport and medical facilities.
It was also observed that Jammu-Akhnoor road, which is a busy route, may be widened to avoid large number of accidents.
Speaking on the occasion, Bargotra stressed the Government to provide revenue passbooks to the farmers, announce employment package for the educated youths of Jammu, provide a Reading Hall with a small library in every Panchayat and to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of the rural hospitals, besides providing free medicines to rural people.
