Promoters of Pvt Schools apprise Advisor about their grievances

JAMMU, Aug 18: A deputation of Private Schools Coordination Committee, led by Dr Hari Dutt Shishu and Rameshwar Manhas, met with Advisor to Governor, Khursheed Ahmad Ganai at Jammu and apprised him about the intimidation and harassments to the Private Schools of Kathua in particular, by the different orders in contravention to the basic guidelines issued by Deputy Commissioner.
JKPSCC conveyed its displeasure to the Advisor about the maltreatment given to the promoters of the Private Schools of district Kathua. JKPSCC members, while presenting their case before the Advisor, told him that they are ready to cooperate to the Government in every respect but never at the cast of self respect and dignity.
On this, the Advisor got a report from the Director School Education, who was also present in the meeting. Advisor assured the JKPSCC members that no such harassment will be meted to them from now.
JKPSCC also requested the Advisor to place a system in which there should be capping of different slabs for different categories of Schools which the later assured to take up with FFC for finding an acceptable solution.
Mr Ganai asked the private Schools to concentrate on the quality education and emphasise more upon IT and Sciences with special focus on basic mathematical concepts. He further asked all the promoters to work in this field with the spirit of service to the society instead of making this pious profession a money minting machine.
He assured that Government was always for the promotion of the private schools and any attempt from any quarter to demoralize them shall be viewed seriously.
The JKPSCC delegation comprised of G S Katal, Sat Pal Badyal, Sanjeet Kumar, Maninder Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Hafiz, Tariq, Kapil Sharma, Yog Raj Sharma, Mahipal Sharma, Rajesh, Dhiraj, Ram Murti, Hitesh, Dinesh and Ajay Amla.
