JAMMU, Dec 19: Project Sampark dedicated 140 kilowatt roof top solar power generation to the nation. By dedicating this project to nation, BRO has added a new feather in its wings.
Highlighting on technical issues, Brigadier Y K Ahuja, CE said that this is only a first step towards “Go Green” and all of us must contribute by spreading the advantages of such ventures by incorporating such technologies in domestic life, like solar geysers, creating awareness for utilizing subsidy available for solar by the Government, cost and energy savings and developing safer environment for future generations.
“This is the first large scale solar rooftop power project in BRO campus”, he said, adding that project comprises of 140 KW Grid Tied Solar Power Generation costing Rs 74,20,000, out of which 60 per cent project cost was subsidized through MNRE and balance was beard by HQ CE (P) Sampark.
He informed that the Project was executed by M/s Jeanie Power Solution Private Limited, an empanelled installer of J&K Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), the State nodal agency for installing any solar power project through MNRE.
Dr P R Dhar, CEO JAKEDA who was present during the commissioning complimented CE and entire Sampark team for their wholehearted efforts in converting this Green Project ‘A Grand Success’.
Richa Varshney, CEO, Jeanie Power Solution Private Limited was also been appreciated by entire team of Sampark and JAKEDA for finishing the project well before time and executing good quality work which is checked and approved by JAKEDA.
J&K State is all set to go green by fulfilling its energy crisis through various such green concepts in future.
