Prof Rajni Kant of JU gets international fellowship

JAMMU, July 11: Dr Rajni Kant, Professor of Physics and Dean Faculty of Science in Jammu University, has been elected as Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), London, UK.
This is one of the most prestigious international fellowships awarded to researchers who are elected through a process of international scrutiny in recognition of their outstanding contribution in the field of Chemical Sciences. The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is the world’s finest and top leading Chemical Science Society recognizing and awarding excellence world over.
The fellow status (FRSC) has been conferred on Dr Rajni Kant for his significant contribution in the field of Small Molecule X-ray Crystallography research, a field closely related to Chemical Sciences, Chemistry and Materials Science.
Professor Rajni Kant has become the first person from Jammu and Kashmir to get this prestigious fellowship. He has guided over 50 M Phil and over 25 Ph D scholars in Physics and has published more than four-hundred research papers in journals of national and international repute.
