JAMMU, Aug 27: A protest procession against poor and feeble BSNL mobile service in Jammu was today taken out in the Jammu city by Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of Ashok Gupta.
Hundreds of DFSS workers also staged a massive demonstration in front of BSNL Headquarters at Rani Park and raised slogans against BSNL authorities.
Addressing the protestors, Ashok Gupta said in this modern era when mobile service is known as heart and soul of communication network, the poor BSNL signal is hampering the communication links between the people of not only Jammu city but also rural areas of city outskirts.
He said many times BSNL numbers continuously sounds busy even when the mobile sets are not busy. Besides, this GPRS service of BSNL is erratic in most of the areas, he added.
Gupta said BSNL mobile has become more a liability than an asset and subscribers being fed up with poor BSNL mobile services are shifting to other cellular companies.
He warned the BSNL authorities to take effective steps to improve its mobile services otherwise people would have to come on roads.
