JAMMU, Feb 23: Jammu and Kashmir Government today said that investigation into the case of death of CISF constable Ravi Verma at the residence of Commanding Officer (CO) in Jharkhand is going on.
Investigation of the case (concerning death of Verma) is going on (by the Jharkhand police), Minister of State for Home, Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo said while replying to a calling attention notice by Congress member Subash Chander Gupta in the Legislative Council today.
On February 7, 2014, Verma was found lying dead in a pool of blood with his throat slit at the residence of Commanding Officer in Koyla Nagar of Dhanbad district in Jharkhand, where he was posted.
The investigation is going on and the matter is being pursued with concerned police authorities of Jharkhand to expedite the investigation and ascertain the real cause of the death, Kitchloo said.
