JAMMU, June 9: Senior BJP leader, party Headquarters incharge J&K and former Minister, Priya Sethi today appealed to the Government for holding the DPC of Agriculture technocrats as soon as possible to remove the bottleneck hampering their promotion since long.
The former Minister raised the issue during a meeting with a delegation of Agriculture Technocrats Employees Association which met her, today under the leadership of president, Surinder Radotra.
The delegation unveiled number of issues which were being confronted by the agriculture technocrats in the shape of a memorandum. It was averred that the issue of promotion of AEAs is a long pending matter and at several occasions in the past the demand was raised at various forums but to no avail.
The deputation, while handing over the memorandum, anticipated that earlier also the former Minister had come to the rescue of the agriculture technocrats therefore they have come with lots of hopes that Priya Sethi will present their case before the concerned platform in the right perspective making way for an early redressal of their problem.
Dr Surinder Radotra reiterated the demand of conduct of DPC for promotion of AEAs as JAEOs at the UT level to ensure that the scope of any kind of discrimination is eliminated completely.
After giving a patient hearing to the members of the deputation, Priya Sethi said that the apparently the demands raised by the agriculture technocrats seem to be genuine and emergent in nature and paying heed to the same is in the interest of all.
She urged the J&K administration to consider the same as soon as possible and remove all the doubts presently dwelling in the minds of these employees regarding prejudice or predisposition.
Priya also assured the delegation that she will pursue the case at the concerned quarters to make sure that the logjam in case of DPC of the agriculture technocrats is removed at the earliest.
