Chairman JKPDCA Mohammad Amin Rangrez while addressing a press conference said that the government needs to revisit the laws being thrust upon the private sector.
“In the Government sector health institutions have been exempted from such MBBS signatory, but we do not know why it is being thrust upon the private sector,” he said.
Mohammad Azad of the JKPDCA said that a strategy is being adapted to malign the images of technicians who are well versed with their technical qualifications and are the right arms of doctors in practice.
The Association demanded one-time relaxation be given to assure that general laboratory owners are not compelled to come to roads for such issues or close down their establishments because of the unwarranted approach of authorities.
JKPDCA also talked of the misuse of the registration number of the association and it was demanded that the concerned agencies should take action against such elements.
The chairman was accompanied by senior laboratory technicians who are also the founders of the association including Nissar Ali, Abdul Majid Gattoo, Mohammad Maqbool and Bashir Ahmed in presence of district presidents of the Kashmir division besides other members of PDCA.
The chairman of JKPDCA expressed hope that government will take up the issue to retain the dignity and integrity of laboratory technicians to highlight their struggle for justice on World Laboratory Day being celebrated throughout the globe.
