Private clinics looting patients

Sir,
It’s a matter of grave concern for all the residents of Jammu, that the doctors who run private clinics here charge exorbitant fee at their free will from the patients. They increase their fee almost every month. These so called doctors who treat their patients as ‘customers’ charge every time a patient visits them. It is quite astonishing that the medicines  prescribed by them are available only in the medical shops outside these clinics. These doctors also ask the patients to undergo expensive tests before starting the treatment.
They check the patients only at the time convenient to them. These doctors never hesitate in refusing the patients at the time of emergency too. They refer the patients to public hospital, whenever someone in pain approaches them at odd hours. The irony is that majority of these healthcare centres do not have the ambulance facility available for the patients. The poor who cannot pay such high fee, have no place in these clinics. Therefore, I request the authorities concerned to set some norms for running private clinics and ensure the implementation of the same.
Yours etc….
