UDHAMPUR, Dec 1: Municipal Councilor, Priti Khajuria here today inaugurated the newly constructed tiled street in Ward No. 1 near Ambedkar Chowk which has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 lakh.
A handout stated that this was the long pending demand of the locals of the area and earlier the area was in Panchayat where no work was done but as it came within Municipal limits now the people are hopeful for development work.
Priti said that in absence of a paved road, the public faces troubles because it becomes difficult to walk on such paths during rainy season and the school going children and elders face more problems to walk on such streets.
“But now due to construction of the street, the residents and school going children will get relief to a great extent due to the cleanliness on the road,” Priti Khajuria said, adding that she will try to complete all the pending development works of her Ward well in time. Shalu, Ramesh, Yunus Shah, Mohinder, Raj Kumar and Neeraj were also present on the occasion.
