Principle of accountability

Sir,
The word accountability means true sense of responsibility, rendering of duty to the entire satisfaction of any person working in Govt. or in a private concern. The more the accountability, the more the dividends. Everyone, whether in private or Govt sector, is accountable to his boss. Even a man, whether working or not in a private or in a Govt sector, is accountable to his family for his doings towards his family. It has generally been observed that accountability is more vibrant and satisfactory in private sector but the same is not the case in public sector where people while away time without showing any remarkable progress.
Take the case of private schools versus Govt schools. The result in both quantity and quality are far more satisfactory than the Govt institutions although the staff is better qualified and the institutions have funds enough to meet expenses on infrastructure etc. it is simply because there is accountability factor in private institutions where the staff is accountable to management, to the principal and above all to the parents.
Same is the case with privately run undertakings where the emoluments are to be paid to the employees, as per their performance. The PILs in the courts are mostly numerous for poor performance of the concerned departments. So in order to make the Govt machinery more productive and efficient, the concerned people should follow the principle of accountability in letter and spirit.
Yours etc…
