Price rise has broken back of common man: AIBCU

JAMMU, Nov 14: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) in its meeting here today while expressing grave concern over rising prices said that it has broken the back of common man.
The meeting, which was chaired by Abdul Majid Malik president of the Union accused the Government for its total failure in containing the prices of essential commodities and to give relief to the poor people.
The Union said the vegetable prices have touched peak and onion costs from Rs 80 to Rs 100 which is beyond the purchasing power of a common man.
It said plenty of onions are lying in markets of Nasik  in Maharashtra for black marketing and the Government has failed to take action against the hoarders while common man is suffering. It said the tomato which is also used by a common man as his daily vegetable has become too costly for him to purchase as its price also touched Rs 80 per kg.
The Union urged the Government to take necessary steps in maintaining the prices of essential commodities or be ready to face the peoples’ wrath. He said the people will punish the parties responsible for price hike especially in the J&K.
