JAMMU, Dec 18: A delegation of J&K Peoples Revolutionary Forum (JKPRF) and Senior Citizens and Pensioners Welfare Association today called on Commissioner Secretary, Power Hirdesh Kumar and discussed various issues of Power employees especially daily wagers with him.
The delegation which was led by chairman of the Forum and veteran trade union leader, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani showed grave concern over the delay in issuing the regularization cum promotion orders in favour of daily wagers of PDD who were cleared by Departmental Promotion Committee in January.
The delegation said that though the DPC has cleared the regularization of daily wagers of Kashmir Valley in January but the then Chief Engineer, M&RE Kashmir being the convener of the Committee failed to issue the orders in favour of the employees since then with the result they have been put to hardships.
Seeking the immediate intervention of the Commissioner Secretary, Power the delegation said these daily wagers have pinned high hopes in him and urged him to issue immediate directives to concerned officers to issue the list so that these workers who have rendered over seven years service are relieved of the problems.
