NEW DELHI, Feb 8:
President Pranab Mukherjee will preside over a two-day Conference of Governors on February 11 and 12 at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
This is the 44th Governors’ Conference and the first such Conference to be presided over by Mr Mukherjee, a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said today.
Thirty Governors and Lt. Governors of the States and Union Territories will be attending the Conference.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Ministers of Defence, Finance, Agriculture, Home Affairs, Human Resource Development, Urban Development, Water Resources, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission and Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation and Chairman of UIDAI will also participate in the two-day deliberations.
