NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday led the nation in paying tributes to the former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.
The President, along with Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh paid tributes to the late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri at his memorial Vijay Ghat.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi also paid tributes to Lal Bahadur Shastri. ”My tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastriji on his birth anniversary,” Mr Gandhi said in a tweet. (AGENCIES)
