SRINAGAR, June 5: Sanjay Nahar, President “Sarhad”, a Pune based NGO, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Nahar briefed the Governor about Sarhad’s ongoing initiatives to educate and promote the interests of the J&K youth whose studies had been already affected. He invited the Governor to flag off the “Kargil Marathon” and “Multi Lingual Literary Festival”, the two events which are being organized by “Sarhad” in the month of July and September, respectively, this year.
The Marathon is being organized by the “Sarhad” to promote Kargil as a tourist destination and has been endorsed by the Athletic Federation of India and the School Federation of India.
Governor lauded “Sarhad’s” continuing initiatives and assured support to their forthcoming activities.
Nahar was accompanied by Sanjeev Shah, Kargil Marathon Coordinator and Zahid Bhat, “Youth President Sarhad”.
