President Murmu opens 2nd edition of Udyan Utsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, Dec 19:  President Droupadi Murmu  inaugurated the Second Edition of Udyan Utsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam here on Friday.

The nine-day festival, which celebrates India’s green traditions, sustainable practices, and community engagement, will be open to the public from January 3 to January 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (last entry at 7:00 PM).

Entry is free, with access through Gate No. 2, an official release said here.

Following the overwhelming success of the inaugural Udyan Utsav in January 2025, which drew over 1.3 lakh visitors, the second edition aims to further promote awareness about sustainable agriculture, horticulture, and environmentally responsible lifestyles.

The festival is being organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, with MANAGE (National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management) as a key knowledge partner.

The festival will feature a wide range of floral and non-floral attractions, including enhanced seasonal flower beds, curated floral installations, and upgraded gardens.

Visitors can explore agriculture and horticulture stalls showcasing organic produce, GI-tagged products, FPOs, and agri-startups.

Workshops and demonstrations on natural farming, medicinal plants, nursery management, and sustainable practices are also planned.

Youth-oriented activities, quizzes, and hands-on learning experiences will engage young visitors, while a curated food court will offer millet-based and herbal food products.

Cultural performances reflecting India’s regional traditions and close connection with nature will be part of the festival.

Rashtrapati Nilayam will provide comprehensive visitor facilities, including security, sanitation, drinking water, first-aid, electric carts, and daily maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

The President invites citizens to visit Rashtrapati Nilayam and experience the rich confluence of nature, agriculture, and culture at Udyan Utsav 2026.
