JAMMU, Jan 16: The 2nd Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Football Tournament will be held from January 20 to 31, 2018 at Parade ground, here.
This was informed by MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta while addressing media persons, here today.
He said that Tournament was launched last year and seeing its popularity and success, the organizers have decided to make it an annual feature.
Mr Gupta said that holding of football tournament in the memory of the great son of the soil is an appropriate homage to him as he himself was an avid sportsperson and used to play football with passion and spirit.
He said that leading football teams from Jammu and Kashmir and other States including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Services will be participating in the Tournament.
Mr Gupta further informed that the Tournament is being organized by the State Sports Club J&K, with Dr Nirmal Singh as Chief Patron, President State BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma as Patron and he himself as Chairman.
Rakesh Khanna, President State Sports Club and Naresh Dogra, General Secretary will be the organizers of the Tournament.
