PATNA, Mar 4:
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today dismissed reports that his party had clinched a sharing seating formula with the Congress, but said he was open to exchanging a seat or consider giving one more to seal the alliance in Bihar.
“I have seen media reports on electronic news channels about the deal between the RJD and the Congress being clinched … Such reports are mischievous and motivated and being telecast by news channels supporting the BJP,” Prasad told reporters.
Prasad said he had offered eleven seats to Congress and one to the NCP for an alliance with them, but no final decision had been taken by the allies.
The RJD supremo said that he was open to exchange of a seat or at the best giving one more seat to the Congress to seal the deal.
On reports that AICC in-charge of Bihar CP Joshi had spoken to him about the seat sharing formula in Bihar, Prasad said that he had no knowledge about what was going on in the Congress as far as the alliance with his party was concerned. (PTI)
