Prabhu flags off 5 weekly trains

NEW DELHI:
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today flagged off five weekly trains including Lokmanya Tilak -Gorakhopur Express through remote control.
With this total 106 trains proposed in the Rail Budget were launched in the current fiscal, Prabhu said, adding train is the preferred mode of transportation for every section of the society including the poor.
He said all these trains were introduced because there was demand from people from these areas.
“We always try to accommodate demands for new trains from people across the country. It is a challenging task to accept everyone’s demand,” he said.
All these services are part of Rail Budget announcements.
The trains launched today are Lokmanya Tilak–Gorakhopur Express (Weekly), Paradeep-Visakhapatnam Express (Weekly), Ramnagar-Chandigarh Express (Weekly), Thiruvanthapuram- Nizamuddin Express (Weekly) and Nagpur-Rewa Express (Weekly).
Earlier, the Railway Minister had flagged off eight trains on February 9 and three more yesterday. (AGENCIES)
