Prabhari Officer B2V4 visits Nalthi, discusses local issues with DC

DODA, Mar 11: Prabhari Officer of Nalthi Panchayat, Bhaderwah under Back to Village Programme Dr Bharat Bhushan (Chief Executive Officer, Integrated Watershed Management Programme, J&K) visited the assigned Panchayat today and discussed in detail local issues with the officers of line departments and PRI members.
Dil Mir (Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah), Sunil Kumar (Block Development Officer, Bhaderwah), Child Development Project Officer, Livestock Development Officer Bhaderwah, officials of other line departments, PRI members and locals of the Panchayat were present in the meeting conducted by Prabhari Officer in the Panchayat Ghar Nalthi.
Sarpanch of Nalthi apprised the Prabhari Officer that two power transformers in the Panchayat have been upgraded to 100 KV and third one is going to be installed in next few days. He said this will augment the supply in the Panchayat and will benefit the common masses. He also appraised that 74 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) have been taken up by Rural Development Department in the Panchayat this year which is quite a large number as compared to earlier years.
“Similarly, three families have been assisted recently under State Marriage Assistance Scheme and updating of pensioners records is being facilitated by Social Welfare and Health Departments,” he further informed.
The visiting officer exhorted the officials to work with dedication as they are the officials who implement the Government welfare initiatives at grass root level.
Later, Dr Bharat Bhushan called on Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan and discussed issues of Panchayat Nalthi with him.
