JAMMU, May 1: A meeting of the Prabandhak Committee, Khir Bhawani Asthapan, Manzgam was held here, today under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Raina its president.
The meeting discussed various issued regarding the development of this ancient shrine and the steps taken by the Committee in this regard. It said every year on Jesht Ashtami, Ashad Ashtami and other ashtamis devotees visit the holy shrine and this year too a Maha Yagya will be performed on Jesht Ashtami on June 20 and yatra will start from Jammu on June 18, the Hawan will start on June 19 with puranahuti next day.
The installation of Moorti of Swami Ram Giri Baba will be held on 19th June. The Yatra has special significance as Manzgam is world famous for Holy Chandan Tree at the hill top of the Shrine the Pooja Archana of which is also being held on Saptami as per past practice and tradition.
The meeting observed two minutes silence in the memory of late T.N.Padru, J.N Raina of Avil and Rakesh Ji @ Baya of Choudhrygund.
VS Lahori, A.K Raina, Kanya Lal Raina, Vinay Koul, Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Ravinder Raina, Dileep Raina and others attended the meeting.
