NOWSHERA, Sept 2: Former MLC and PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has expressed serious concern over the worst condition of power and water supply in Sunderbani Sub Division and other adjoining areas as a result people are facing great hardships.
Sharma was apprised by the local population about great hardships being faced by them due to worst ever condition of power supply and water shortage but the authorities are unmoved. Few days people held protest demonstrations but the conditions have worsened further, as there is long duration interruptions in power supply for several hours a day and night. The water supply system is also badly affected and erratic in most parts of Sunderbani-Nowshera areas, he added.
Ex-MLC said that Govern-ment is total failure on this front and people are worst affected during scorching heat and humid conditions prevailing in the region. He appealed to the higher authorities to take note of the supplies in the area.
He demanded early completion of the under construction Grid Station at Siot besides sanctioning of proposed power receiving station at Kalideh and Nala-Makote in the area. These stations were proposed during for 2013-14 but have not been taken up, so far deteriorating the power scenario in the Sundebani-Devak areas, he added.
