JAMMU Apr 17: In order to carry out balance work of erection of 132 KV Beam structures to facilitate DC Railway traction work at 132/66 KV Grid Station Samba and other allied works, the shut down of 2×50 MVA, 132/66 KV Grid Station Samba has been allowed on 19.4.2915 from 9 am to 1 pm.
As intimated by Chief Engineer, S&O Wing Jammu during the shut down period the power supply to Samba town, Industrial area, Bari-Brahmana, Ghagwal, Vijaypur and their adjoining areas and industries will remain affected. However, the power supply to Grid Station Bari-Brahmana-II will be met from Gladni Grid Station during the shut down period.
Meanwhile, to carry out urgent work of fixing of new poles between Tower No. 185 to Tower No. 186 near Doda of 132 KV Udhampur-Kishtwar transmission line, the shut down of 132 KV Kheleni-Kishtwar portion of transmission line on April 19, 2015 (Sunday) from 11 am to 4 pm has been allowed.
During the shut down, the power supply to district Doda will be partially affected (for disconnecting and connecting the jumpers at Khelani Grid Station) and district Kishtwar will be affected during the period.
