SRINAGAR, Oct 8: Minister of State for Power, Vikar Rasool today said that to reduce the losses, the T&D system in 30 towns of the State is being upgraded under Re-structure Accelerated Power Development Reforms Programme (R-APDRP).
Replying to a question by Prof Garu Ram Bhagat in Legislative Assembly, the Minister said that R. S Pura was also included in the R-APDRP and under this scheme Rs. 13.12 crore would be incurred for upgradation of power infrastructure in the town.
He said the R-APDRP project is to be executed on Turnkey basis for which the project management consultancy has been finalized after due tendering process. He said the tenders in this regard are under preparation and after finalization of these the work would be taken up in the town.
He said under this scheme Kullian would be upgraded, adding that DPR for augmentation of receiving station Meran Sahib to 2×10 MVA costing Rs. 1.59 crore is being submitted to Planning and Design Department for accord of Techno Economic Clearance (TEC).
