JAMMU, May 30: The passengers of two trains today beat a Station Master who failed to respond properly and make arrangements for restoration of train movement which got hampered due to power failure in a goods train which was on its way from Jammu to Udhampur near Sangad Railway Station.
As per sources, power supply to goods train carrying cement got snapped early morning between Bajalta and Sangad Railway Station.
Due to the power failure, DMU and Malwa Express approaching Jammu from Udhampur also got stranded between Bajalta and Sangad Railway Station, resulting into manifold problems to the Government employees and students.
When the passengers approached Station Master of Sangad Railway Station to resolve the issue, the latter’s casual approach created anguish among the mob. They later thrashed him.
After couple of hours, the matter was resolved and the train movement was restored. Later the passengers went to their destination in their respective trains.
